2023 Spring League Info

Team Costs are $1100 for the Spring Season.  (If you register by March 26th, 2023, you will receive a $100 discount).

We anticipate there will be two divisions for 18+ and one for 40+.  Depending on the number of teams we will also divide by skill level (Elite/B/C). 

Games are scheduled to run from April 2nd, 2023, through June 25th, 2023, with games played on Sundays at Edison High School in Alexandria, VA.    Legends Alexandria reserves the right to move teams across Divisions as appropriate for the regular season and for the playoffs based on talent, records, and other factors.

Additional General Information:

• Games will be played this Spring at Edison HS in Gym 1 and Gym 2 (Some 40+ games may be played in other gyms tbd)
• Game times are on Sunday afternoons and evenings.
• Games consist of two running 20 minutes halves, with the clock stopping on everything the last two minutes of both halves. Overtimes are 3 min for the 1st, 2 min for the 2nd, 1 min for the 3rd.
• Teams must have a minimum of 7 players, maximum of 12 players.
• High School Rules are in effect with some exceptions (6 fouls per game, two time-outs per half that don't carry over, advancing the ball on timeouts in last 2 minutes, etc.  We may try to introduce a shot clock)
• Rosters are required upfront.  Roster additions/changes after game 1 must be approved by Commissioner, and no roster additions/changes are allowed after game 3.
• Playoff eligibility requires players to have played 3 games in the regular season, with few exceptions (past exceptions have been for illness, military/police duty requirements, and fathers of newborns.)
• Regular season game substitutes are allowed, but only with the approval of the opposing team's coach.  If a game is played it will count towards the regular season standings.
• Individuals or small groups that are NOT part of a team may join if there is enough interest and availability.  (Fees will be charged for the season and the cost of a new uniform.). 

Legends Alexandria Uniforms are available for $60 per reversible uniform. This is a one-time cost for quality, reversible Uniform Jerseys and Shorts. 

Legends Uniforms are strongly preferred and encouraged for use in Legends Leagues. Non-Legends Team Uniforms must be approved by the Legends Commissioner for use in the Leagues.

• Currently, masks are not required for participants. 
• Full Vaccinations including Boosters are HIGHLY recommended for participants
• Mask wearing is encouraged for all fans/observers and unvaccinated player participants.
